This morning Toby and I were doing square numbers on Math Factor then Toby started writing down additions to make square numbers and worked out completely on his own a pattern to make square numbers. He then wrote down the algebra for this pattern. We discussed my this was the case and Toby completely understands – absolutely amazing!

Toby wrote down his poem about getting older and getting better at walking etc and then getting older and getting worse at those things! With little pictures!
We went to collect Eve then came back via the playground and skatepark. Toby was playing a game where he was finding all the chemical compounds to make gingerbread biscuits for Eve!

Once at home Toby drew some mazes and watched come Vi Hart.

He started doing some programming and ran into some issues about the scope of variables – he did seem to understand why there was a problem.

In garden playing with water – he wanted Eve to come and play with him so he was singing a melancholy song ‘Will anybody play with my rain stump!’ – rain stump is what they call water in the upside down cones!
Word meanings app – this app gives you a tricky word and 4 options for the definition, you have to pick the correct one. Afterwards the app provides the correct answer and a sentence to see the word in context. He was doing this to get Geometry Dash back!

Instant blox – he played with these for quite a while making large balancing creations!

EdPlace – Science. 3 sessions independently on the iPad and accepting that he didn’t get all the answers correct!

MathFactor – addition of 2 square numbers.
