Brighton and a cliff!

In the morning we drove to Brighton (Toby read How to train your dragon and Phantom X murderous maths books on the journeys).

As soon as we got there we found a great playground.

We walked up to the pier and walked along it.

We went into the arcades but Toby didn’t want to do the 2p machines. We discussed gambling and he said that since the machine will always win overall then he thought it wasn’t sensible to play!

We did soft play which was good for a while but Toby hurt himself on the slide and after that he found it difficult to manage his emotions.

We walked back along the beach and went to the playground again.

Later in the afternoon we had a fantastic walk at Seaford walking along the beach then up the cliff. Fantastic walk and views.

We talked about different types of rocks and erosion. Later on Ben sent us a video about recent increase in avalanches from that area and the cracks in the cliff that we saw. We talked about safety on cliffs and how some people take unnecessary risks.

Toby really enjoyed the cliff walk and is very keen on climbing all seven sisters.
