Evening swim

This morning Toby finished the Stop those monsters book.

Toby scooted to take Eve to preschool and walked back. We went straight to visit Dycorts School. It was a quick visit as unfortunately it appears that Dycorts is not a suitable environment.

We went home and did a Math Factor grand genius test. We started to learn about subtracting large numbers but then Toby wanted to write something down.

He wanted to do the 3×3 grid trick that Carol Voderman showed on Math Factor for the 3 times table but extend it up to higher numbers. He found it frustrating because it was a bit tricky but we managed to get there in the end!

We then walked to get Eve then went to the skatepark, playground and street climbing. We stayed longer because Toby and Eve were having a great time 🙂

Toby read the political leaflets that had been posted through the door while we were out. He asked questions about the leaflets and about the different parties. 

We watched a VSauce while he was eating his lunch – a cheese pitta which he didn’t complain about!

After both Toby and Eve did biscuit decorating.

While Eve had a long bath Toby finished the periodic table puzzle and we had a game of set. At bedtime Toby arranged all of the Set cards into order.

After dinner I took Toby swimming, he was so pleased that he is managing to doggy paddle. I showed him front crawl and breast stroke. He was doing brilliantly but then started getting a bit mixed up! He loved jumping in and doing roley polies in the water.
