At breakfast time Toby watched VSauce Brachistrochrone. Toby then used Swift playgrounds to experiment with the code that creates different kinds of curves. He was drawing comparisons between the VSauce and the code.

This morning we went to the woods, Toby and Eve had a fab time exploring as usual 🙂 We then went to the park. Street climbing first where Toby and Eve spent ages! Toby made friends with a 6 year old boy, it was brilliant – they were comparing things they could do on the bars. When I said we were going to head over to the playground, the boy asked his Granddad if they could go too and he and Toby ran to the playground together. They played brilliantly together – laughing and talking – Toby did talk about numbers a lot but the boy didn’t seem to mind at all. Toby said he loved the boy before he left and the boy said he loved Toby too! Interestingly Toby was concerned that he wouldn’t recognise the boy if he was at the park again – I reassured him that I would recognise him so it was okay. This showed a good awareness of his difficulties with facial recognition.
Once home we ate lunch – Toby watched a couple of his favourite Ted Eds.

We did some Math Factor and then a couple of worksheets from Ed Place which I have just signed up to. A magnets one and a tricky addition one.

Toby read Magic Ink by Steve Cole.

Toby did one of the new maths apps on the iPad but it was against the clock which made him too stressed out when he felt it was unfair.

RAGS Timbuk2 this evening, Toby and Eve had a brilliant time, Toby listened well and didn’t seem to escalate at all. He spent quite a lot of time at the craft table, drawing new slides and rollercoasters. It wasn’t very busy tonight so we didn’t have to worry too much about Toby getting too speedy, it was great when Toby and Eve stuck together too 🙂

Toby read Magic Ink again on the way home.
