Today was our last day at the caravan.
Ben recommended a walk from Cuckmere Inn along the Cuckmere river to the beach where the river meets the sea. From the beach we walked up the hill to some amazing views.
Toby enjoyed this walk a lot and the stony beach with different kinds of stone from the chalk rocks from the cliffs to much harder stones of varying sizes. We watched videos on the way home about the different types of rock – how they are formed and about the rock cycle (which was very interesting to all of us!).
The weather was a bit mixed and this lead to great discussions on being prepared properly for long walks and the qualities that a good guide would need.
