We got up this morning and as soon as we went downstairs Toby started reading and he didn’t stop until about 1pm! We have ordered the 65 storey treehouse from Amazon. These books are a good example of books that Toby really enjoys (he laughs a lot and reads bits out to us) but they do have a negative effect because they are very exciting and have some violent content (most reading age appropriate books aimed at boys do). It is a balancing act trying to find books he’ll enjoy reading but won’t escalate him.
- Almost 5 hours of reading! Finished 13 storey, 26 storey, 39 and 52 storey treehouse!
- Read an Inventions book
- Programming Khan Academy JS
- Lots of running around the living room – exercise and counting in 2s, 3s and 10s
- Wrote up a paragraph about his SimCity game – great handwriting and included a loop for building many houses
- Imaginary play – planting seeds and mining
- Creating a coding square and using it to encode sentences
